TRENDING: ICU doctor advices Covid-19 sufferers what to do to save lungs at home

A Mzansi doctor has recorded a helpful video, showing Covid-19 sufferers how they can save their lungs at home because ICU units are currently full. The doctor says in his opinion, many people are dying unnecessarily of Covid-19 and now hospitals are following this method to try and save as many people as they can.

The doctor says that should you find yourself in a situation where you are struggling to breathe, kneel down, elbows down, head down, take deep breaths and cough. The method is called proning method. That will help move oxygen into your lungs and secretions out of your lungs. It will help to send oxygen into the lower part of your lungs because Covid-19 attacks the lower parts of your lungs by secreting some fluid as thick as glue and this leads to suffocation.

The doctor further says that ICU teams are now making patients lie flat on their stomachs. “Please, never lie on your back if you have Covid-19,” he urged. It will avoid suffocation of lungs, he added. The reason why many experience respiratory failure is because of all that glue-like substance in the lungs and the proning method will help soften the gunk and then you’ll cough it out.

The doctor further urged people to refrain from spreading news of Covid-19 being a hoax. “Many people are dying. Please adhere to the restrictions. Hospitals are full and the situation is getting dire.”
