Actress Thandeka Mdeliswa has died

Thandeka Mdeliswa will be remembered for showcasing the Ndebele culture in the first ever Ndebele soap opera.

Thandeka Mdeliswa dies. Actress Thandeka Mdeliswa has passed. Mdeliswa is best known for her role on SABC 1 show, Ikani. She was 27.

The cause of her death has not been revealed to the media,but one of the media kgopolo Mphela said, Fans,I am aware of the cause of Thandeka,it’s not what you guys think accident or illness,but it’s not my place to tell only family will tell when time is right.

Thandeka Mdeliswa will be on the remembrance as she was representing Ndebele culture in the first Ndebele soap.

She attended acting at Brumildas Academy and appeared on the screen of TV first in year 2013,on the etv drama ekasi, entitled “imbiza”.

She made it in her acting career as she was appearing on the drama of ikani.as she was leading a role there.

Thandeka Mdeliswa is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Khanya in the SABC1 drama series iKani. It was her first starring role in television.

She studied acting at Brumilda’s Acting Academy and booked her first television role in 2013, starring in an episode of the e.tv drama anthology series eKasi: Our Stories entitled “Imbiza” (Season 5, Episode 11). The episode first aired on 23 September, 2013.

Thandeka returned later in the season to play a different role, in an episode entitled “Church vs Shebeen” (Season 5, Episode 33), in which a well respected pastor finds love in a new girlfriend after his wife left him five years ago.

In 2014 she guest starred in an episode of the SABC1 docu-drama series Ngempela and the following year she starred in the telemovie The Contract, which was part of the Mzansi Magic “Lokshin Bioskop” strand. The movie first aired on 4 July, 2015.

She was also a guest star in an episode of Generations: The Legacy which aired on 11 September, 2016.
In 2018 she starred in another “Lokshin Bioskop” movie on Mzansi Magic, called Imoto Kokufa. The movie is about a young man whose desperation to own a fancy car leads him down a dangerous path when he purchases his boss’s wife’s stolen car.

Later that year Thandeka landed her first starring role in the SABC1 drama series iKani as Khanya, a young artist who finds out that she is from an isiNdebele family despite being brought up by her aunt as a Zulu. The series premiered on Sunday 30 September, 2018.

The cause of the death has not been made public but Entertainment Commentator and TV Host Kgopolo Mphela said, “Guys, I’m aware of the cause of death. It wasn’t a car accident or illness. But until the family makes the details available, it’s not my place to share it, for now. It’s a sensitive situation. She passed 2 days ago. My RIP is to not let her death go unacknowledged.”

Thandeka Mdeliswa is known to be the young actress who played 25-year-old Khanya on drama Ikani.. She previously landed minor roles on local soaps Generations: The Legacy, Isidingo and Rhythm City, and a bigger one on the SABC1 short story series Ngempela.

She made her break through after landing a leading role in Ikani, and she said it was “a dream come true” for her.
